BIO:

Michael “duVee” Dietrich (he/him) is a Chicago-based artist with a love for film and music.

Michael’s film work is rooted in a love for capturing moments in time. Documentaries, silent films, adult films, and independent LGBTQ+ cinema most inform his output. Early films such as 7.28.20 (2020) and Momentum (2020) reflect a focus on the self in search of a creative direction.

When producing music, recording for other artists, or DJing, Michael goes under the moniker duVee. duVee is most inspired by music with genre cross-pollination. Genres he’s invested in and plays includes pop, electronics, drum & bass, nu metal, hip-hop, and dance music of all shades.

During the week, Michael works as a social video editor abd content producer. He graduated the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising and a minor in Cinema Studies.
